My family and I have visited this pub for a Sunday lunch and Had an amazing experience. We ordered the lamb roast which was delicious and the portion size was very generous. The starters and desserts were brilliant too being presented well and tasted an even better. I’ve removed one star as there was a fair amount of mess around on the tables and the menus were dirty with food stains et cetera appreciate it is a busy Sunday but there were plenty of staff on shift. It just could’ve been a lot tidy up to make it a more pleasurable experience.

Had the nicest lunch here. Staff were so accommodating and kind. The food was so tasty and service was quick! Definitely recommend the halloumi burger with 4 huge chunks of halloumi in it. The breaded Brie was incredibly too.

If you need to a place to stay in or around Stock I would absolutely recommend staying here. I stayed here solo for 2 nights as was working in Billericay. Fab location, comfy rooms - loved the detailed welcome pack, so helpful. Food was delicious for dinner and breakfast options were good. Very close to the bus stop. Would stay here again for sure. Thank you.

Some friends recommended that we visit this pub while in town and it did not disappoint. We loved the ascetics of the place. Everyone was super nice and friendly towards us. We came here during lunch time and we were able to partake of their lunch menu. I choose to get the gammon and fried eggs with fries. My wife and her friend split the Prawn sandwich with chips, and my daughter got the kids burger. While waiting to get our food i also ordered a nice cold beer. It was wonderful! The food was great. The ONLY thing i would have preferred if the gammon was warm and not cold. I warmed it up with the eggs, but was a smig off putting when I took the first bit. The burger patty was hand made as it has nice onions and more in there. My wife absolutely loved the sandwich. overall this was an awesome place to eat!

Lovely little hotel and pub. The staff were exceptional and the breakfast was so good. They even had a gluten free sausage which is rare! The rooms were spotless and well equipped. We had a room at the front so it was a bit noisy from around 7am but it didn’t spoil our stay. Would recommend.

The real highlight was the staff – welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile, which made us feel right at home. Breakfast was excellent, fresh, and generous, the perfect way to start the day. A charming inn with great service and a warm atmosphere – highly recommended.
